Red: A Crayon's Musical

For one night only, I get to help bring a brand new musical to life as part of the third annual Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival! With a score by Grammy-nominated pianist and composer John Burke, a book by Ben Thorpe (one of my favorite Atlanta actors), and based on the acclaimed children's book by Michael Hall, Red: A Crayon's Musical tells the story of a blue crayon mislabeled as "red." The TYA show chronicles his journey for self acceptance and unlocking his best self. I get to play the role of Taupe (an anxiety-ridden nonverbal crayon-child) as well as Grandpa Grey (a crotchety old crayon-man) alongside some of the brightest talents in the city!

Directed by Jacob Demlow.

Music and lyrics by John Burke.

Book by Ben Thorpe.

Love's Labour's Lost

From July 5th to July 8th, I have the distinct pleasure to tackle the role of Berowne in Zero Circle Theatre Company's inaugural production: Love's Labour's Lost! This joyful musical adaptation of Shakespeare's play gets to take advantage of my acting and singing abilities as well as my trombone playing (and tuba playing? We'll see). Zero Circle Theatre Company is a brand new company dedicated to creating joyful, inclusive theatre and fostering growth among young artists. I'm a founding member along with some of my very favorite people in the world and I cannot wait to see where this new adventure takes us!

Directed by Patrick Schweigert.

Music directed by Daniel Hilton.

Music and lyrics by Michael Friedman.

Book adapted by Alex Timbers.

Damn Yankees

From April 12th to April 29th, 2018, I'll be having the distinct pleasure of dancing my little tush off in Theatre Buford's inaugural production of Damn Yankees! This classic musical will come to life under the direction of Julie Skrzypek, the music direction of Nick Silvestri, and the choreography of Kari Twyman. The cast is an absolute delight and the score holds up beautifully. It's the most I've ever danced, I think, and has proven to be a wonderful challenge coming off of a one-man show.
